A Fabulous Party

Happy Birthday to me!

Monday is my official birthday, but we had a party on the 17th. It was at a Maiolatesi's Winery and it was everything I had hoped for! The setting was beautiful and everyone had a nice time. I was surrounded by wine and friends- the perfect surroundings for turning 25! Above is a picture of my cousin-in-law. She LOVED playing with the table decor!

That Pippin'

So we got a kitten. We did not plan on getting a kitten, especially since we have two 90lb rottweilers, but she fell into our lives and now she's officially family. The kids get along wonderfully and it's one of the cutest contrasts I've ever seen. Originally we named her Buttons, but then we got silly and started referring to her as "That Pippin" and Pippin stuck.

Live Simply

A country term. In my opinion meaning to go without unnecessary material objects. I love the thought of it...

When I'm in the country, I get so in-tune with nature-- one of my favorite things to do. The birds chirp louder, the wind blows softer, and the mind easily calms. This old shed belongs to an uncle of mine. It was there when they bought their home and I believe it still has old useless tools and other random old things in it. I think they plan on fixing it up some day. For now, it's simple and simply beautiful at that.
